Evaluation: Judge Daniel Ramczyk's overall assessment was positive. Some of his strengths include ruling on motions and cases in a timely manner, punctuality in commencing proceedings, and maintaining proper control over the courtroom. The evaluation also indicates that he is diligent in discharging the administrative responsibilities of the court and maintains appropriate hours given his workload. Judge Ramczyk has presided over both civil and criminal cases. He is dedicated to improving the court and his own performance.
Experience & Education: Judge Ramczyk was appointed to the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court in April 2003. His prior work experience includes service as an Assistant District Attorney, Assistant City Attorney and several years in private practice. He serves as a judge for the DWI/Drug Court and is a backup judge for both the Competency and Mental Health Courts. Judge Ramczyk is also a mentor in the Bill W. Kitts Mentorship Program (older judges and lawyers mentoring new lawyers). He is a member of the NM State Bar Diversity Committee. Judge Ramczyk received both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of New Mexico.
