Experience & Education: Prior to his appointment to District Court in 1997, Judge Ritter worked in private practice and as an Assistant District Attorney. He is currently presiding judge of the Juvenile Drug Court and is Chief Judge for the district. He is also active in various civic and professional organizations. Judge Ritter received his undergraduate degree in government from New Mexico State University and his law degree from the University of New Mexico.
