Evaluation: Judge Cindy Leos received a very positive overall evaluation. Judge Leos received high ratings from attorneys for being attentive to the proceedings, punctuality in commencing proceedings, displaying familiarity with court cases through prior preparation, and for ruling on motions or cases in a timely manner. In addition, the court staff, resource staff (e.g., law enforcement officers, CASA volunteers, CYFD, interpreters, etc.) and jurors rated Judge Leos positively on all attributes.

Experience & Education: Judge Cindy Leos graduated from University of Colorado, Boulder in 1997 and received her law degree from the Chicago Kent College of Law in 2002. She was elected a District Judge in 2016. Judge Leos’ community involvement includes working with the Supreme Court Commission on Equity and Justice, presenting at judicial education seminars, and working with students on mock trials. Judge Leos was the 2009 recipient of the Abraham Lincoln Marovitz Public Interest Law Award and the 2019 Albuquerque Bar Association Judge of the Year Award.
