Evaluation: Judge Daylene Marsh received somewhat mixed scores on her evaluation. Judge Marsh received positive ratings from attorneys for being attentive to the proceedings, punctual in commencing the proceedings, demonstrating appropriate demeanor on the bench, and for ensuring her personal staff is professional, productive and knowledgeable of court policies and procedures. However, attorneys rated Judge Marsh somewhat lower for not always exercising sound legal reasoning and for not being thoroughly knowledgeable regarding substantive law and the rules of procedure and evidence. The attorneys rated her slightly lower when it comes to treating all participants equally and displaying fairness and impartiality toward each side of the case. The Commission discussed these issues with her after her previous evaluation. However, her scores remained relatively the same. The court staff rated Judge Marsh positively on all attributes.
Experience & Education: Judge Daylene Marsh graduated from University of Denver and received her law degree from Texas Southern University in 1989. She was appointed as a District Court Judge in 2012 and was subsequently elected in November 2012. Judge Marsh’s prior community involvement includes the National Adoption Day Committee and Chair of the Pro Bono Committee.
