Evaluation: Judge Douglas Driggers received generally positive scores overall. For example, attorneys rated Judge Driggers quite positively for being punctual in commencing proceedings, being prompt in scheduling hearings and trials, ruling on motions or cases in a timely manner, and ensuring his personal staff is professional, productive and knowledgeable. Although his other scores among attorneys were positive, he received somewhat lower scores on conducting himself in a manner free from arrogance and being courteous to all participants. The court staff rated him positively on all attributes and the resource staff (e.g., law enforcement, probation and parole officers, interpreters, etc.) gave him generally positive scores.

Experience & Education: Judge Douglas Driggers was appointed as a District Court Judge in 2003 and was elected in 2004. He has heard civil and criminal cases, has served as Chief Judge and is the senior member of the 3rd Judicial District Court. Judge Driggers graduated from the UNM School of Law in 1974. He served as a Doña Ana County Assistant District Attorney, was elected District Attorney, and served seven years in private practice prior to his appointment to the 3rd Judicial District Court. He is a founding member and past chair of the Doña Ana Crime Stoppers organization.
