Evaluation: Judge Jane Levy’s survey results were quite positive. Attorneys rated her highly for being attentive to proceedings, decisively ruling on procedural and substantive matters, and displaying familiarity with court cases through prior preparation. The court staff rated her positively for behaving in a manner that encourages respect for the courts and for ensuring her personal staff is professional, productive and knowledgeable of court policies and procedures. Although fairly new to the bench, Judge Jane Levy has positively impacted the Family Court Division of the Second District.

Experience & Education: Before her appointment to the 2nd Judicial District Court in 2016, Judge Jane Levy practiced family law, served as a Special Master/Guardian ad litem and a facilitator/mediator. Judge Levy was elected to the 2nd Judicial District Court in 2018. Judge Jane Levy received a BA in 2000 from Beloit College, an MA from Lewis & Clark School of Education and Counseling in 2011, and her law degree from Lewis & Clark School of Law in 2004.
