Evaluation: Overall, Judge Daniel Ramczyk received positive ratings from all groups surveyed. Some of his strengths among attorneys include maintaining proper control over the proceedings, starting courtroom proceedings on time, ruling decisively on procedural and substantive matters, and being attentive to the proceedings. Since his prior evaluation, he has improved in every area. Judge Ramczyk indicated to the Commission that he is dedicated and committed to improving the court and his own performance.
Experience & Education: Judge Daniel Ramczyk was appointed to the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court in April 2003. His prior work experience includes service as an assistant district attorney, assistant city attorney, and several years in private practice. He serves as a criminal judge and is the Chairperson of the Metro Court Rules Committee. Judge Ramczyk has also served on the Mental Health Court, the Competency Court, and is a volunteer for the DWI/Drug Court. He received both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of New Mexico.
