Evaluation: Judge Zamora received generally positive scores from attorneys, court staff and resource staff (e.g. social workers, probation officers, etc.). Attorneys gave the judge positive ratings for displaying familiarity with cases through prior preparation, being attentive to the proceedings, and for being courteous to all participants. Court staff gave the judge positive ratings for conducting herself in a proper manner, respecting all court employees, and for having a dignified demeanor. The resource staff rated Judge Zamora highly for being attentive to the proceedings and for her courtesy. However, the attorneys rated the judge lower for not being able to quickly and decisively rule on procedural and substantive matters. Judge Zamora indicated a willingness to improve her performance in this area.
Experience & Education: Judge Zamora has served as District Court Judge since November 2005. She presides over Children's Court cases. Prior to this, she practiced law for eighteen years. Judge Zamora received her undergraduate degree from Fort Lewis College and her law degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law.
