Evaluation: Judge Lang received positive ratings from all of the groups surveyed. He received high ratings from attorneys for maintaining proper control over the courtroom, ruling on motions or cases in a timely manner, and for being knowledgeable regarding substantive law and the rules of procedure and evidence. Judge Lang received positive scores from court staff for respecting all court employees regardless of their position, being punctual in commencing proceedings, and for having a dignified demeanor. Judge Lang indicated his commitment to maintaining his positive performance.

Experience & Education: Judge Lang has served as a District Judge since January of 1994 and as Chief Judge from June 2004 to the present. He served in the Family Law Division until 1997, when he moved to the Civil Division. Prior to his appointment to the Second Judicial District, he served as a Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court Judge. Judge Lang received both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of New Mexico.
