Attorneys rated the judge well for his knowledge of the law, maintaining proper control over the proceedings, and for displaying familiarity with cases through prior preparation. The court staff rated Judge Kase highly for maintaining appropriate hours given the workload, being punctual in commencing proceedings, and for having a dignified demeanor. In addition, the resource staff (e.g. law enforcement officers, CASA volunteers, etc.) rated the judge positively on all attributes. There were no areas identified as needing improvement.
Experience & Education: Judge Kase has served as District Court Judge since 1972. Prior to becoming a judge, he worked in private practice for ten years and was an Assistant District Attorney for just over three years. He received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
