Evaluation: Judge Megan Duffy’s survey results were somewhat mixed. Attorneys rated her positively for treating all courtroom participants with respect, maintaining professional demeanor in the courtroom, and providing court participants with a meaningful opportunity to be heard. Additionally, court staff rated her positively for rendering opinions without regard to outside pressure, maintaining professional demeanor, and ensuring her personal staff is professional, productive, and knowledgeable of court policies and procedures. However, court staff gave her low ratings when it comes to timeliness in making rulings and rendering decisions and effectively handling ongoing workload. They also rated her somewhat lower in treating court employees with respect and working professionally and cooperatively with court personnel.

Experience & Education: Judge Megan Duffy was elected to the New Mexico Court of Appeals in 2018. Judge Duffy worked at the Roepke Law Firm and served as a law clerk for Justice Richard Bosson. She was a founding member and director of Albuquerque Involved. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of New Mexico in 2004 and her law degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2008.
