The Honorable

Jacqueline R. Medina

Recommendation: Insufficient time in current position to evaluate.

Evaluation: The Rules Governing the Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission allow for an evaluation of a judge only if a judge has served at least two years in the current position or has sufficient data to achieve a statistically valid sample. Judge Jacqueline R. Medina has served on the New Mexico Court of Appeals since January 2019, which does not allow enough time or sufficient data for the Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission to evaluate her prior to the November 2020 election.

Experience & Education: Judge Jacqueline R. Media was elected a New Mexico Court of Appeals Judge in November 2018. She received her undergraduate degree in 1987 and law degree in 1991 from the UNM School of Law. Prior to her election, she was an Assistant Attorney General, Assistant District Attorney, and Children’s Court Attorney for the 2nd and 8th Judicial Districts.
