Evaluation: Judge Hall was rated highly by all of the groups surveyed as part of this evaluation. Specific strengths include conducting himself in a manner free of impropriety, maintaining proper control over the courtroom, and displaying a basic sense of fairness. Judge Hall is diligent in performing the administrative responsibilities of the court and is knowledgeable of the rules of law and procedure. Although no specific weaknesses were identified by this evaluation, Judge Hall has taken steps to improve both his administrative skills and the timeliness of his rulings. The current evaluation reveals that Judge Hall has maintained high ratings. Judge Hall has a positive attitude toward continuing to improve his performance and that of the judicial system.

Experience & Education: Judge Hall has served as a District Judge in the First Judicial District since April 1995. During this period, he has presided over the Civil, Criminal, and Family Court Divisions. Prior to his current judgeship, he worked in private practice and served in the First Judicial District Attorney's Office and the New Mexico Attorney General's Office. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University and graduated from the University of Michigan's law school.
