Evaluation: The Rules Governing the Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission allow for an evaluation of a judge only if a judge has served at least two years in the current position or has sufficient data to achieve a statistically valid sample. Judge Marci Beyer has served on the Third Judicial District Court since December 2012, which does not allow enough time or sufficient data for the Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission to evaluate her prior to the November 2014 election.
Experience & Education: Judge Marci Beyer was elected in 2012. Prior to her judgeship, she served as a legal aid attorney and director, prosecutor, criminal defense lawyer, and civil and family lawyer. In addition, she also served as the Doña Ana County Domestic Violence Commissioner and a Guardian ad litem. Judge Beyer has done community service in the areas of disadvantaged youth, poverty, women's issues and voter's rights. Judge Beyer received her undergraduate degree from Purdue University and her law degree from Indiana/Purdue University School of Law in 1981.
