Evaluation: Judge Vanzi was rated quite positively by attorneys for conducting herself in a manner free from impropriety, demonstrating appropriate demeanor on the bench, and being timely in making rulings and rendering decisions. Court staff rated Judge Vanzi quite positively for effectively handling her ongoing workload, being timely in making rulings and rendering decisions, and for being a hard worker. The district court judges and her fellow appellate judges rated her quite positively on all attributes.

Experience & Education: Judge Vanzi graduated from Marymount College and received her law degree from the University of New Mexico in 1995. She was appointed as District Judge in 2004 and as a Court of Appeals Judge in 2008. Judge Vanzi is an adjunct faculty member at the University of New Mexico School of Law and a volunteer faculty member at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. Judge Vanzi is a member of the New Mexico Bar Association, Appellate Practice Section and Alternative Methods of Dispute Resolution Committee.
