Experience & Education: Prior to her appointment to the District Court bench in 2014, Judge Mercedes C. Murphy worked as a prosecuting attorney in the 7th Judicial District Court, having served in that capacity from 2002 to 2014. Judge Murphy received a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico, completed her law degree at Oklahoma City University, and was admitted to practice in 2002.
