Experience & Education: Judge Michael Stone was appointed as district judge in 2018 and was elected as district judge in 2020. Judge Stone was an associate at the Sanders Law Firm and served as the City of Hobbs attorney. He received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University in 1988 and his law degree from the Texas Tech School of Law in 1992.
