Evaluation: Overall, Judge Vidalia Chavez’s scores are quite positive. Experience & Education: Prior to taking the Metro Court bench, Judge Vidalia Chavez worked in criminal law with the Law Office of the Public Defender’s Office. She transitioned to private practice in 2013 and was elected to Metro Court in 2014. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico in 2003 and completed her law degree at the University of New Mexico School of Law and was admitted to practice in 2006.
