Experience & Education: Judge Douglas W. Decker was appointed to the 11th Judicial District Court, Division 7 by Governor Michell Lujan Grisham in 2023, and elected in 2024. Prior to becoming a judge, he practiced law for 33 years, in private practice for 5 years, and 28 years as the McKinley County Attorney. Judge Decker earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in 1984 and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 1990.
