The Honorable Bruce C. Fox
2nd Judicial District
Bernalillo County
Evaluation: Judge Bruce Fox’s scores among the attorneys were somewhat mixed. For example, attorneys rated Judge Fox positively for treating all courtroom participants with respect, treating self-represented parties fairly, and for being attentive to the proceedings. However, Judge Fox received lower scores for maintaining proper control over the proceedings, promptness in scheduling hearings and trials, and ruling on motions or cases in a timely manner. The court staff, jurors, and resource staff (e.g., law enforcement officers, CASA volunteers, CYFD, interpreters, etc.) rated Judge Fox positively on all attributes. During his interview with the Commission, Judge Fox acknowledged his need for improvement in the areas identified within the attorney survey results, and he provided the Commission with a plan for the same.
